Foods that Help Brush Your Teeth When You Can't

However, there are going to be times that come up where you will not be able to brush your teeth right after you finish eating.

When that comes up, the best thing that you can do is to figure out a quick food that will help get the extra debris off your teeth.

Foods That Can Mimic the Effects of a Toothbrush

If you just had lunch or dinner and your teeth are a little dirty, consider eating something that's somewhat abrasive to help clean off the surfaces of your teeth.

Broccoli is one of those types of foods, as each of the little florets and the stems will help rid your teeth of any film. Another food that is great for this purpose is celery.

Since most of each stalk is water anyway, you get hydrated, a flush of water through your mouth, and the abrasive qualities that come along with eating it. Carrots are also good when it comes to cleaning up your teeth, and they work your jaw, keeping your jawbone strong.

Don't let a moment pass you by where you could be eating something that helps your teeth. Eating a vegetable now and again to help keep your teeth clean when brushing is simply not an option is going to not only help your teeth get clean, but also help to keep them strong.

If you know you are going to be out for a meal and won't be able to brush, bring a carrot or celery stick with you and eat it when you get out to your car.
